News stories: The summaries in the News, Sports and Entertainment tabs are researched and written with the help of AI (Claude, by Anthropic), checked against multiple independent news outlets, and reviewed before they are published. Errors are still possible. The news outlets used are named on each story; this site does not link to them. Photos are representative images (not photos from the stories), come from Wikimedia Commons, and are credited on each image.

flash10news.com does not run its own advertising, analytics, or tracking system. The site does, however, rely on
outside services to deliver its pages and power its features, and those services automatically receive some basic
information (IP address, browser type, time of visit, page requested) when you load the site:
- Hostinger — hosts the website
- Cloudflare — delivers it to your browser
- Google Apps Script — powers the weather widget, the Timer page, and the to-do list's screenshot import
- ipapi.co — looks up an approximate city for the weather widget
- Open-Meteo — supplies the weather data
- Wikimedia Commons — supplies the news story photos
- BigDataCloud — turns your location into a town name for the to-do page weather (only if you allow location)
- OpenStreetMap and Esri — supply map images on the Workout page

Optional location: The weather widget may ask permission to use your device's exact location. This is optional — if you allow it, your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo and BigDataCloud only to get your local weather and town name; if you decline, it falls back to the approximate city lookup and your precise coordinates are never sent.

To-Do list: If you choose to use the to-do list, the personal code you create, your tasks, and any alert dates are stored in a private database on this site's own Hostinger server. If you use the screenshot import, the image is sent to Google only to read its text. Your code is also saved in your browser's local storage so you don't have to retype it on the same device. You can clear it any time with the "Reset / Switch Profile" button or by emailing the address below.
Cookies: flash10news.com sets no marketing or analytics cookies. Hostinger and Cloudflare may set technical cookies for security and performance, and the to-do list uses local storage on your own device. You can clear these any time through your browser settings.

What we do not do: no advertising, no selling or sharing of personal information, no behavioral profiles, no session replay, no fingerprinting, and no knowing collection of data from children under 13. Your choices: A tracker-blocking extension (such as uBlock Origin), blocking third-party cookies, declining the location prompt, or using private/incognito mode will limit what any site — including this one — learns about you.
